Tourists are Recommended not to Use Illegal Homestays in Ninh Binh

Ninh Binh authority announced that 20 illegal homestays were built in Tam Coc Rice Fields – Hai Nham Village.

On 13^th January, local tourism authority indicated a list of 20 illegal homestays that violated the boundary regulation of the Trang An Landscape Complex. A mass of homestays built and illegally run in the core zone of Trang An Landscape Complex-the World Natural and Cultural Heritage has been going on for many years, especially in the years 2016-2017. These homestays mainly lie in the communes such as Ninh Xuan, Ninh Thang, Ninh Hai, Truong Yen (Hoa Lu District), and Gia Sinh (Gia Vien and Ninh Binh Districts).

“To ensure safety and benefits, it is recommended that tourists do not use these homestay accommodation services, because the owners of the homestays did not deal with construction permits, result in not ensuring security, fire protection, food safety, and hygiene, etc.” – the report showed.

Statistics from Ninh Binh’s People’s Committee illustrated that there are now 215 unauthorized homestays in the province supplying 1,200 rooms. At the end of November 2018, Ninh Binh People’s Committee instructed relevant departments, branches, and localities to strengthen the management and punish cases that broke regulations.
