I sought meaningful travel—and Truc Thang delivered. Staying in a traditional 5-gian wooden house, I joined cultural storytelling, made bamboo coffee huts, and shared communal dinners. The community focus made the experience deep, lasting, and authentic.

Hai Trung provides a true experience of community living. The restored century-old wooden villa, the communal tea corner, and conversations with neighbors took me far from tourist routes. It’s authentic rural life in every sense—cultural, calm, and wholeheartedly welcoming.

If you want real travel experience that connects you to local life, this is it. Hai Vân brings rural heritage alive through old wooden homes, canal-side walks, and friendly conversations with neighbours. The host welcomed us like family, and we shared meals that felt deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture.

Sun May Retreat is more than a place to stay—it connects you to local life and sustainable values. I joined garden harvesting, helped prep meals with host family recipes, and learned about regional customs. The retreat encourages living mindfully—less plastic, more planting, deeper connection. Truly holistic and heartwarming.

I appreciated how the resort preserves its natural surroundings—Japanese architects protected every mature tree when building the villas. The design balances elegance and sustainability: open-plan spaces, natural light, and eco-conscious amenities like limited plastic use. Waking to forest views and having direct sight of Sóc Sơn’s cultural landmarks like Gióng Temple felt both grounding and respectful of nature’s heritage.
