Morning: Hanoi – Phat Tich Pagoda – Cho Village (L)
At 7 am, our driver will pick you up at the meeting place to transfer to Bac Ninh. It may take approximately 40 minutes to reach there.
The first destination is Phat Tich Pagoda – the cradle of Vietnamese Buddhism built between the 7th and 10th centuries. In addition to its unique architecture, tranquil ambiance, and serene landscapes, you will be impressed by a series of precious stone statues imbrued with sculptures of the Ly Dynasty.
Afterward, you will head to Cho Village where you can join a cooking class. You will have a chance to make a delicious specialty of cake in Cho Village “Banh Te”. Enjoy lunch in a local host with some specialties in Bac Ninh and “Banh Te” made on your own.
Afternoon: Do Temple – Dong Ho Painting Village
After having a short rest, we continue to explore Do temple built over 1000 years ago. It is a place where eight Ly Kings were worshipped through their statues. You can not only observe an ancient architecture in Vietnam but also get more knowledge of Ly dynasty’s gorgeous long-standing history pages.
Before the end of the tour, you will discover Dong Ho Village with its famous paintings – an aesthetic symbol in Vietnam culture. Each Dong Ho painting reflects people’s wishes for lucks and their perception of everyday life. Let’s explore a vivid symbol of folk culture and witness the process of making those masterpieces.
